If your clay is similar to mine here in the bay area, it is just
slightly acidic. However if you added organic matter to your soil,
probably lowered the ph (more acidic) it did here. Rock phosphate would
be good to help neutralize the soil.

Basicly a balanced fertilizer is all you need (10-10-10). Our clay is
rich enough, it just needs organic help to release its nutrients.
