Hi folks,
My first 2 irises opened today! One was Queen Dorothy and the other
was one of my unnamed oldies. It was wonderful to see them. I
thought they were never coming which echoes eveyone's thinking I
guess.
However I was very puzzled when I had a look for the stigmatic lip,
to find it very flat and on the inside of a practically
inaccessible opening. There didn't seem to be any way pollen could
get in there unless one used a toothpick. I pulled up the stigmatic
lip with the crest on the style arm as per instructions in this
List earlier. Was I looking in the wrong place for this? Can anyone
help please. TIA.
