After reading for months about iris and other flowers in bloom in mild
climate areas while the snow still covered the ground here, I believed we
had a somewhat compressed bloom season, but DITTO and lily-flowered tulips
were faded and gone before the first Siberian (LAVENDER BOUNTY, not INDY -
see more below) began to bloom. It must be glorious to have so many
different things in bloom all at once!

I have 11 (out of 15 total) Siberians that have bloomed/will bloom here
this year, all but one of which were planted in Aug/Sept 1995. INDY and
ISABELLE will be the last two to bloom (they are the only ones that have
stalks that are not already in bloom or are showing color in the bud). INDY
is growing as well as most of the others, but apparently has not read the
instructions in the R&I about when it is supposed to bloom!
