Hi!
My name is Marianne Ferrara. I live in Bucks County, PA (north of Philly
- No comments on the Flyers, please!)
I am a perennial gardener who has only 1 exposure to Irises, but it's one
that has me stumped.
I obtained some irises from around an abandoned house in NJ and I've been
trying to identify them, and haven't had much success. I've searched
several web sites, reading all about rebloomers, but nothing seems to fit.
If someone could point me in the direction of what type they are and where
to look, I'd appreciate it. (They are currently living at my sisters house
so I can't give great detail).
They bloom twice in close succession (with no human effort involved), first
they all bloom a yellow flower, and then 2-3 (?) weeks later they all bloom
again, in purple. (it may be purple first then yellow). All the
descriptions I have read of rebloomers states that with some care they may
rebloom later in the summer/fall, and none mention blooming a 2nd color.
That doesn't seem to fit these.
Any ideas?
Marianne Ferrara
