Hi, Audrey--yes, there is a standard definition, set by AIS: the SDBs should
indeed be 8-15 inches, so a catalog listing them at 5-8" is in error. Sounds
like they meant to say MDBs and simply goofed (though there is no minimum
height on an MDB).

I have noticed in certain catalogs that MDB are rated as up to 8" while
SDB are rated 8-15" other catalogs rate SDB as 5-8" Is there a Standard?
what does AIS say.
Maybe I should join now that Terry Aitken has offered "Sign up(to the
