I have two Labs that know where they can and cannot go in my yard. Even
so, they have never shown an interest in the bone meal during the time I
put it down, or after. They go outside (in the fenced in backyard) on
their own whenever they want, so I can't say they are always supervised.
I've never had a problem. I also put bone meal in the front, and have
never had one thing dug up.
I say go for the bone. From the looks of it, no one has had a problem
with diggers. Or is there a lurker out there who's biting their tongue?
