Dana,
We had HTH bloom here April 25th. Like everyone else in our area, the
bloom has been exceptional, but the timing is the most erratic in memory
(eg. Stellar Lights, after blooming April 10, now has 5 new bloom stalks
from the same clump)!
Also, I want to concur with your bone meal comments. We have had no
prolems with dogs.
