If one sold many of the hybrids from Ben Hager and some other breeders, it
would make for a very large catalog. Pedigrees of some modern hybrids would
require 5 or 6 lines. Catalog priting and mailing is a very expensive
undertaking and only the information which is considered to be of interest
to the majority of customers is included.
Perhaps a supplementary list of pedigrees at an additional charge would be
worth consideration. If you were getting these from several sources,
however, it would be cheaper in the long run and much more useful to buy
the checklists.
I don't really understand how anyone can grow more than a few irises and
live without having the checklists.
