SPEC-Oncocyclus

The most beautiful iris that has flowered for me this year came from a
single seedling that survived from 1994-5 BIS 22. The description reads
"Oncocyclus - 1/2AB McAlister 89-21-9 Sibs from "Just for Jan x Kiosk"
GW-UK."

the flower had pale cream/orange stardards, slightly darker falls with a
paler edge, and a orange/brown blaze of the falls. It had three flowers
in succession on one stem.

Apart from its beauty, it was such a surprise as it has been growing in
my garden since 1995 without fanfare and I had not expected too much of
the plant.

I have a couple of questions about the origin. Does Sibs in the
description mean siblings or siberians? I assume the former. Does
McAlister (sic) mean Sharon McAllister? Did anyone else try these seeds
and, if so, what was the result? Can anyone tell me more about this
seedling?

All information will be gratefully received!

Ian in Ottawa where the weather continues to be idealm cool at night and
warm, not hot in the day, with sufficient rain that one does not have to
water.
