Hi Angie--

I agree whole heartedly. My very best iris are from a "yellow thing" I
snatched from an old farmhouse ancient garden, and it never fails me.
It got me interesed in irises and so I joined AIS and iris-l to learn a
lot more. But named or un-named, you can't beat a garden full of
color. I wil be buying named iris becasue I've learned so much about
certain ones I know I will love, but I'm not going to dismiss my old
favorites. I just make up names for my garden journal so I know what's
what. I've been lucky enough to identify some, but the iris is still
the iris. (with apologies to Gertrude Stein)
