Someone brought a stalk of AMARYLLIS (Goebel, 95) to our iris show this
spring. The color is not too exciting - a sort of tannish yellow - but in
form and size it is the closest TB mimic of a Japanese iris that I have
ever seen. There are other flat TBs, of course, such as IMPERSONATOR
(Babson, 75), which is a blue-violet, and I believe there is one out there
called NO STANDARDS, too.
