It appears to be close to "Faenelia

FAENELIA HICKS is a very tall orchid LA that can open five flowers
at a time and is quite hardy. FULL ECLIPSE is a very dark violet,
somewhat narrow of parts as it is out of BLACK WIDOW, the classic spider
LA that is so popular, but slow of growth.

Are you speaking off BLACK GAMECOCK, hybridized by Frank Chowning
in Little Rock? It is a rampant grower.
Cooper's Gardens in Roseville, MN advertises cold-hardy LA's, but
surely they are not talking about tets. Even in MS, I have trouble with
them. Either they get cold damaged or just don't bloom.
