An alternative command to use is:
SET IRIS-L MAIL POSTPONE
instructs the list processor to stop sending you messages until further notice
(handy when going on vacation)
then when you return, use:
SET IRIS-L MAIL ACK
returns to normal mode (cancels POSTPONE or DIGEST)
