Cult: I Pseudocorus

I'm trying to get a fix on whether an iris brought into the nursery by a
neighbor is psuedocorus or a cross. It was purchased from a nursery on
the west coast.

I've got it temporarily planted next to one of the local I.psuedocorus
strains that is the most similar.

No bloom yet to compare, leaves and rhisome look identical, but where
all of my psueds have shown a reddish stain when the root is cut, this
one stains lavender.

Any one out there know of a strain that has a purple or lavender stain?
