What we use are geese. They're about perfect because they only eat the
new shoots; they don't care for older growth.
btw, they make great gaurd dogs too, and later you can invite one for
Christmas dinner. Of course this may not work if you live in a city. LOL

Zone 6 - where spring was early but nothing is growing to fast now. The
cool weather is a blessing though because hot weather would have meant
great flooding in our area.
