Hi Everyone,
'Bit of Chocolate' just opened for me the other day - it was sold to me as a
SDB but I think it is too tall for that. I am wondering however, if anyone
on this list grows it?
It was a new planting for me as of last August, so I really didn't expect a
bloom, but it did - with two stalks from one plant - really impressive for a
first year.
My question is, does anyone have a picture of it to compare to mine?
I can't believe what a strange flower it is. I guess I was sort of expecting
a white with some brownish tones, but nothing like this! I got all excited
and called over my daughter to show her the bloom, but all she said was
"gross"... (she's fourteen).
In an attempt to explain what it looks like, it is sort of yellow, purple,
brown and pink all together. I took a picture of it, but I am sure that I
won't capture the interesting colour combination or get all the detail. Got
to buy that digital camera!! (right Dennis?)
So if you have any photos of your 'B of C', or care to make any comments,
let me know.

(Zone 3, with SDB's almost done, and BB's just starting. Heard on the radio
that there is a chance of frost tonight and funnel clouds have just been
sited near my home today. yuck.)
