I remember that vividly. And I was so sorry to see it die (especially when I
was cranking up for a long yarn...).

But, let this be an opportunity to say once again what a crackerjack job John
I Jones has done with this list. As the saying goes...."I thought somebody
ought to do something... then I remembered I was somebody". JIJ stepped in
there and I for one am forever grateful.

End of lovefest.

In the meantime.... I have just returned from a stupendous trip to England
and Scotland.... London gardens and Scotland fun. And when I get my act
together, I will bore you all with tales of the Chelsea Garden Show (a dream
that defies description... everyone MUST go!), and London area gardens and
the irises therein. And I'll also try to recreate a wonderful day in the
driving rain at Wisley with a charming irisarian named Ray Jeffs.

Kathy Guest... who has a kazillion irises in bloom - if you part the grass
and the weeds and squint, you can see them.
