Re: TB: Orange Irises,
From: "Title, CDR Lynn A." <titlel@spawar.navy.mil>
I spent quite some time looking for a good schoolbus-yellow iris,
preferrably one with an orange beard. Ended up with RONEY'S ENCORE,
ACAPULCO GOLD, and an unnamed iris somebody handed me a chunk from their
bed.

The best orange TB I have seen is THAI ORANGE (Ernst yr?).
I saw it for the first time in Denver at the polar convention,
strutting its stuff in the snow. ;)
My all time favorite orange is an SDB, Desert Orange. It is
not an electric shock orange but it stands out in the garden
all the same..hardy in Zone 3. One of Bennett Jones' oranges.
He is to orange irises what Ben Hager was to pink irises.
Cheers,
Ellen
