Lloyd, Stephanie is very grateful for your advice to water plants with seed
pods so that they can continue to develop.  Glad you posted this bit of
advice before we set to no mail for the summer!  It is very hot, humid and
mostly dry here this June so far.  Temps in the low to mid 90s and only spot
showers.  We expect any kind of weather in Missouri at any time of the year,
but the last June I remember with this harsh of weather so early is 5 years
ago.  Stephie has some important crosses this year for her program, and she
is grateful for the expert advice about watering.  She has already learned
to stake stalks with pods, to strip the leaves from them to prevent rot and
to spray pods against insects, but didn't know about the watering to help
pods to continue on to maturity.  Thank you!
