Out digging rhizomes for our club sale this weekend & checking on
'behaviour' of a few. The big clump of L S out in the gravel fields has
rotted back to two huge rhizomes. So I suspect that the erratic weather
and difficult soil conditions here stresses the plants more making them
more susceptible to disease. They probably just can't recover enough to
put on the necessary growth to make more blooms till spring.
