Oh Linda! So that's where that tangle is coming from. :-)
I have been desperately trying to rid myself of the tangle of roots in my
garden beds. I blamed the wattle trees, and have trenched the edges of the
garden and severed roots up to 1" thick from these trees. My iris seedlings
from 97' crosses were doing so badly that I potted them, and these roots
were to blame for the soil poverty.
