I grow my TB's in raised beds (about 12" of soil) on a rocky base. The main 
difference is the soil/reef below drains fairly well.
Would it be possible to lay a 4" slotted poly pipe drain at the base of the 
beds to carry away excess water? This will of course depend on slope.
