Re: TB: Smells like lemon

Bill,

Lemon Mist is an older iris of Nate Rudolph.  I believe it was introduced in 1972, if my memory serves me correctly.  At any rate, it can be found the 70's check list.

James;  I haven't checked it out yet but acquired a Iris named Lemon Mist during bloom season. We put a stalk of this in our kitchen ( as it was available ) and it talked to us in the air. (very aromatic. ) Hopefully with research and that we will add it to our garden as we have a start. I would definitely look for it as far as aroma. Bill

I'm relaying a request from a friend who is trying to locate an older iris that smelled like lemon. I offered to loan her my 1939 Check List so she could compile a list from the 587 pages of registrations and listings which would have the le. notation, and she asked if there might be a faster way? So pending the creation of an online searchable database, does anyone on the list recall an older iris that smells like lemon? It could have been later than 1939, but this is the checklist that keeps track of smells.
