I second Anner's observations.  I think this list is a wonderful melting pot. 
 And most folks do either suggest where they're writing from in some way - so 
I've never personally suffered any anxiety about who my audience is.

I remember the very first time I read a post from Australia...... I was 
TOTALLY (still am) charmed, since that's a place I've wanted to visit since I 
was a little girl.  It's amazing that we can be a community even though we 
write from Pakistan, France, Australia or Buffalo.  What other medium would 
make this possible??

Hey Chris.... AOL does not have signature lines....  I type it in each time 
(if I remember).
