All right, all right, all right.
Everybody dismount, pony up to the bar and have a glass of whiskey,
beer, milk or sasparella, whatever is your choice, and for Pete's sake
*mellow out*
Look, the whole point of the list is communication. If you don't want to
communicate clearly, then why bother posting at all.
The myriad forms of iris that we collectively grow thrive differently in
different climes (as if I am telling you something you don't already
know) It has been said before, I am reiterating it here. Your climate
is am important part of the things you say about the way irises grow for
you. They are also an important part of how a reader interprets your
comments as they might or might not apply to them.
There is no *requirement* to post anything about yourself or your
location, nor would I have the time to try and police such a
requirement. In fact many postings don't need that location information.
However when you are posting something about the culture of irises if
you want to communicate and want your thoughts to be valued, then
include whatever climatic information is appropriate.
Likewise, if you want people to know who and where you are, put it in a
form that can be interpreted by all the members of our world wide
community, to what ever extent you think is important. If you don't
understand where someone is from, ask (politely). They can answer you
publically or privately, or not. It is up to them.
One last point. I am growing weary of the sniping, subtly worded or not.
It is disconcerting to lots of members and leaves a particularly bad
impression on new members. *Knock it off*
I know you all have lots of good positive things to talk about, and many
questions, so lets move on.
