Dear Walter,
To answer your question I ordered from Roots and
Rhizomes last year and while some of the stock was
nice I ordered a relatively expensive hosta and got
the tiniest start of a hosta that I have ever
received. I looked for it today since things are
starting to poke their heads up here now, and no sign
of it yet. In fairness I also ordered some Monkshood
that was lovely- lost one but all five of the others
are leafed out already.
And yes, I will send them a note and tell them about
the hosta.

Last week I was mailed a really neat catalog called
Roots and
Rhizomes. It came from Randolph, WI, and lists only
siberians in
the iris section, but has a world of other plants and
a helpful index.
Has anybody on the list ordered from R & R and can
tell us about
the quality of their stock?
Paul Black's Mid-America catalog came, too. DUDE
RANCH is
another TDF, and I was wondering if anyone saw it at
the OKC
convention or at Paul's OKC garden before he left and
can share
their thoughts on it.
