I'll just say a word or two on this subject. I do have Rick's data base
program, there are two versions of Rick's program. One version (the one I have)
is designed for the average everyday gardener who just wants a computerized
catalog of their iris with all the info associated with the iris and it's
location in the garden (a map). The second version (which Rick calls his
professional version) has all the before mentioned items plus invoicing and the
records associated with commercially selling iris including a customer data
base. What I have said on the second version is what I understand the
Professional version to be talking with Rick and Roger. Rick has been
re-writing the second version so it will be compatible with Window 95/98, it is
currently a DOS program.

I am not satisfied with the version I have. Now let me say the reason for this
is because I don't believe there is the capability in it for the purposes I want
to use the program for, however, if I only wanted to have a record keeping
program for my irises, ie., what I have, what I purchase, who I buy from and
what I pay, the hybridizer, color, type, height and so on this program would be
very sufficient. To go one step further, I like the program I got from Rick, it
just doesn't do all the things I want to do.
