Dorothy,
I use Access for my database. I learned the hard way that no matter what
the weather is doing, whether perfect or perfectly awful, BACK UP THE DATA,
BACK UP THE DATA, BACK UP THE DATA. My husband's computer which housed my
database crashed after having survived numerous power outages without
problems. No matter what type or how many utility programs he tried, there
was NO recovery to be had. Now, I am painfully re-entering my data (and
making nasty, unkind remarks about my hubby -under my breath of course), and
everytime I finish for the day or any part of a day, I back up the data to
a floppy which I store in a separate place.
