I was in my garden this afternoon and discovered an Iris Bud getting
ready to bloom. It was not there on Saturday and it's been too cold
since. There are three buds and the top one is open enough to see
that it is going to be a purple flower. The stem is not straight, it
curled.
Is this too early, for North Carolina? I didn't get flowers until
May when I was in Oklahoma. I found my list of Iris names and I did
buy rebloomers. When the bloom opens I will get a picture and post
it. I am excited to see all my flowers in bloom.

I purchased these Iris Rhizomes in Enid, Oklahoma during late July
1998 at a community sale, "Crazy Daze Sale". They were in sealed
five dollar bags. Some I ordered during the local spring flower
show. I also have unnamed plants given to me by a neighbor. These
bloomed purple, yellow & white, purple & white, white, dark purple
almost black, peachy/orange and solid yellow.
