I just got my first ever Redbud Lane catalog. Wow! It is full of
wonderful goodies. Now this is my type of catalog!
They have a full line of bearded stuff (including the best beardeds of
all--arilbreds <G>) as well bas beardless (LAs, SIBs, SPUs, SPECs, and
SPEC-Xs).
I am very impressed at how many 1/2-bred and 3/4-bred arilbreds they grow.
I find it very encouraging, and it gives me confidence that my good fortune
at growing them the last few years in my garden isn't a fluke, but that
they REALLY ARE adapted to grow in the midwest climate...even the 3/4-breds.
But what really has me drooling is all the SPEC and SPEC-X beardless
irises. 5 pages worth! I would love to see a photo of the SPEC-X cultivar
"LIMBO". It sounds wonderful. I'd also love to see a photo of "POND LILAC
DREAM"...it sounds dreamy.
But do I really want to buy more irises with 2,250+ babies in my nursery?
Of course I do! :)
