This year we will be placing iris bouquets in businesses with lots of customers along with 1/3 sheet of colored paper containing date of show, place and time along with contact people for further information, one week prior to show.. This is in addition to website, [www.jjeweb.net/iris], posters, flyers, newspapers, television, and radio ads.
All club members receive newsletter with dates of upcoming events and summary of last meeting. Approximately 10 days prior to meeting all receive postcards reminding of meeting date and subject. Meetings open to the public[ i.e. last one Flower Arranging and next Preparing Your Iris For Show] will be advertised on radio, TV, and newspapers and with 1/3 flyers.
If they don't know they can't come.
Spread the word. Last year I met a 42 year old women that didn't know what and iris was! Showed her many catalogs, new convert.
