Hi, Buddy. What's the confusion? Since you are coming in loud and strong on
this end you must have signed up for the mailing-list at One-list and got the
Welcome message, right? If not you need to tell us fast since only members
are supposed to be able to post notes to the group. If you did sign yourself
on, you need only sit back and the mail will roll on in in bunches if you are
on Digest Mode, or a singly emails if you are not.

And you are correct. This is the place to come for good info on irises.
Beginners, experts, here, there, anywhere, all are welcome to come talk
irises. You can learn a lot here.

Now as to your previous question, yes, people are doing a lot to extend the
period of bloom on irises. Bearded and beardless both now have more buds,
some bearded irises bloom more than once a year, and the wide variety in
different kinds of irises makes it possible by careful selection to have iris
bloom for a good number of months of the year, depending on your growing
conditions and so forth.

We'd be better able to help you with your questions about irises if you tell
us something about your garden. Where are you, and what kinds of irises are
you interested in growing?
