In regard to ARCHIE OWENS - I'm surprised that you had so much trouble with
it. I used to have it until I gave up Spurias because they were heaven for
borers - so watch out for them! Somewhere in my closet of slides, I have
one I took of Archie herself standing beside her namesake - which was quite
tall - this was taken in Australia. Archie and her husband were on the same
trip I was on back in the early '70s. He was a dear, and we laughed over his
being "Mr. Archie Owens" which didn't seem to bother him at all.
