I used to keep my photo chemicals in empty two liter coke bottles. One
day one slid out of my hand , spraying the contents all over including
the cat . To this day he scurries out of the kitchen when us take soft
drinks out of the fridge.
This is where I got the idea of potting my irises in these very same 2L
bottles with the top part cut off. It works like a charm and you can
see exactly how vigorous root growth is compared to others.
I appreciate the cats in the neighborhood , they eat the moles in my
rebloomer bed. The raccoon is a pest though , he ran off with the frog
from my pond.
Best way to keep raccoons and skunks out of the trash is dirty diapers.
We haven't had trash scattered all over the yard in many years.
