Cult:Glaciatas

From: irischapman@netscape.net

Glaciatas now are also available in green. This year I'm introducing
a green SDB
glaciata called "Limesicle". The exsistence of green glaciatas (ice)
would show
that the green colors and tints are more related to yellows then to
the blue colors of
iris. Last year I introduced a white glaciata SDB "Eramosa Snowball".
Glaciatas
are not too common but are rather neat as the purity of color is
exceptional. I
introduced a rather nice Luminata SDB last year "Iced Wine".
While the Glaciata's lack the blue/purple pigments, the Luminatas
seem to lack the
yellow/pink colors allthough they will have the rose colour which is
a
modification of the blue (anthocyanin pigments). For more information
on colour
read "The World of Iris"
