Re: rebloom Forever Blue

From: Chuck Chapman <irischapman@netscape.net>

Thank's Mike for the comments on Forever Blue & on Ruby Eruption. You should
get 11-12 months of rebloom from FB there after it settles in more as I get 7
months of bloom here in about zone 4 or 5 USA rating. FB is a continuous
bloomer for me, usually missing about 5-10 days at the end of June, otherwise
I have a flower out every single day from May untill heavy frost in November.
I have a number of good rebloomers from it. It seems to be fussy re passing on
its rebloom characteristics. It is not from rebloom genetic stalk but has such
a fantastic rebloom. I suspect it involves some genetic factor a bit different
from the standard rebloom as it has only had rebloom seedlings from a cross
with "What Again" and I have tried a fair number of crosses on it. Sandy Ives
has good germination this year from a selfed pod. This should be very intesting
to see what they do.
