No that is not true. I have a Mac PPC running OS 8.5 and was able to
join the Onelist chat the other night.
Don't know about Web TV.
You all should also know that the chat room at Vengers (the Friday nite
chat site)is always available to us and it provides much better service
(faster, more private) and has controls to manage obnoxious intruders.
It also has a Java chat client that you can use if you don't have IRC
(Mac or PC). To access with IRC the server is: vengers.tzo.com and type:
/join #iris-l
(that is #iris-"ell" not #iris-"one")
To access the Java version go to:
http://www.vengers.com/page.htm
In the middle page see "Click for Java Client" and be patient, it takes
a bit to load but works fine.
