I have been told that when crossing something with a plicata, many (not all) of the offspring will have the form of the plicata parent, and the color of the other parent.   

I really enjoy the form of CONTEMPORARY ART in Mid-America's new catalog and was thinking of using it as a parent to widen the hafts of some of my future seedlings that might be great, but narrow halfted.

I am interested in any thoughts you all might have on this subject.
