Fwd: Teeny tiny little irises

This is an email I received from my grnddaughter in England  - subject her 
description (the G stands for Grandmummy in her salutation!) She and her 
family  (husband and 6 yrold son)  have been transferred - have a house - 
she;s a life member  and  is a gardener also -- I thought these were I 
danfordii?  Does anyone know?  I answered that they were bulbs and I'd like 
some to see how they would do but thought she could plant them for next 
Spring (they'll be there 3 years).  Her answer was she had so far about 8 
blooms and could give me some and plant some - and they cost only a pound and 
were cheaper than tulips she bought at the same time and are lasting just as 
long..
