Yes folks, that's ISA not AIS!
I have been sent some flyers from the organisers of this exciting event (the Inland Regional Iris Society) with details of the forthcoming Iris Society of Australia's next national/international convention.
It is to be held in Yarrawonga, Victoria (which is easily accessible by air from Albury, NSW airport from either Sydney or Melbourne) from Wednesday 24th October, 2001 to Monday 29th October, 2001 inclusive.
Unlike AIS conventions, the entire time will be spent visiting gardens, having fun, eating too much and enjoying excellent company!
I've already booked and paid - so I'm going!
If there is anybody else who would like more information about this exciting event, kindly advise and I'll happily send you a flyer. The day tours include visits to wineries, wonderful country gardens, a cruise on the River Murray, some great guest speakers at night and some totally wonderful Aussie country hospitality.
With the exchange rate being so very good for US people at present (with US$1 almost getting you AU $2 in value) there has never been a greater opportunity to come on Down Under and enjoy two Springtimes in one year!
Here's hoping that some of you might like to take a trip down below the Equator where the ozone is thin and the sun shines brighter than you've ever imagined!
Cheers for now,
Heather
