Walter,
All of ours sprouted normally here in southern California,
I don't know what happened to Abe's,
Big problem now is that with all the rain we had, I've lost
many pot fulls, the pots were filled with water for days,
and they rotted. On hindsight I should have covered them.
The soil got so saturated it wouldn't drain anymore.
