Here lies a main difference in garden irises and show bench irises. The
"Best Specimen" on the show bench doesn't, as a rule, make a guality garden
iris. And a GREAT garden iris often never reaches the "show" bench. Most
gardners want both.
Remember that AIS awards, HM, AM, and DYKES for instance, are NEVER awarded
on show bench performance.
Do you grow irises for the show bench or for the garden?
