Sharon,

There was an article in ROOTS several years back (Spring, 1994) that dealt
with the distinctions between CRIMSON KING (Barr, 1893) and ELEANOR
ROOSEVELT (H.P. Sass, 1933) which are apparently often confused with one
another. According to this article, CK displays prominent haft veining, a
lighter area around the beard, and the beard is light in color and tipped
yellow, while ER is only faintly veined on the haft, nearly a self, and has
a light lavender beard that is orange on the upper half.
