Re: Iris missouriensis

This is what I love about iris-talk. Sometimes,I get to look like an
instant expert.
This week we had a new consultant join our project, just flew in from
Idaho. At lunch, one of our group brings up iris (not uncommon when
I'm around). He says he's got a patch of 'wild iris of some sort'
growing out back. 'Kinda blue and slender'
'Oh,' says our faithfull reader of iris-talk daily digests, 'that's
probably I. Missouriensis. It likes spring run off, then dry
conditions. Shall I bring in a picture for you?' ;-)
Today he checks out the pictures and confirms the diagnosis.

Too funny!!!
Thanks for the great information.
