I don't know if this will help you with EF, but the only place I have had it do well is where it gets early morning sun to about 10 am then reflected light off of windshields the rest of the day. It is under a tree in a raised bed that dries out very quickly. Everywhere else I have tried to put it it has vanished. Here it multiplies very well and blooms every year. I don't know if it is the shade she likes or if it is the lack of moisture, but with all the complaints I have heard of her I know I won't ever move her from this spot.
