Back before I learned where to buy iris I got Edith Wolford from Spring
Hill. The next year they gave two rhizomes with a certain sized order. The
next year I saw it blooming all over the place. Lately I have seen it
nowhere.
I got rid of it when I got rid of the Spring Hill stuff. The one I had
increased great and bloomed every year. One year it bloomed with short
stalks. Had it 5 or 6 years. It fit the description perfect, but don't know
if it was the real thing.
Grew it in full sun in a raised bed. We get plenty of rain except in July
and August normally. I did not like the color combo anyway. Just not for me.
Walter and others: I think some are afraid to post because they think others
will think them dumb. That doesn't bother me:-)
The only dumb questions are the ones never asked.
Some people want to post but don't have a reason. Look what the iris " Edith
Wolford " has done> lots of post on her.
Some one stir the Pot and we will get something cooking.
