RE: CULT Arils

As I go through the catalogues and books, whiling away the hours
until I can get out in the garden, I find I'm developing a passion
for arilbreds and arils. I live in Ohio, not exactly prime aril
country. I've had moderate success with some arilbreds in raised
beds in the protected areas of the garden.
I've seen pics of the old bulb frames at Kew, which look fairly easy
to build, and I think Dennis Kramb has been growing arils nearby.
What advice do you all have for growing them in Zone 5/6? Should
they be greenhoused? Covered/protected from summer rain?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
