This thread intrigues me because when I first crossed irises in 1950, one of
the crosses was LADY MOHR X a tall bearded (I forget which one) or vice
versa. I had no reason to think LADY MOHR was an imposter at that time. I
got about three seeds and at least one germinated. It wasn't much of a
flower and was discarded before I knew anything about arils.
My most prolific cross was OLA KALA X PRINCE OF ORANGE, both TBs. That gave
me wonderful bright yellows with doggy forms.
