In this case, a good report is well underway for the AM/Wister/Dykes,
with participation (or planned participation) from 2 in Mississippi, 4
in Tennessee, and 4 in Kentucky. Not a huge number of samples, and
probably won't give total coverage of all the AMs, but will give some
interesting info for most of us to mull over. But the more the
merrier...
I'm more of a process than goal oriented person (pretty obvious, or I
wouldn't be fiddling around trying to hybridize in this garden! <g>),
but a deadline is a good idea. I choose the week before TBs start
blooming in our Mississippi trial gardens.
When is that? Bet it isn't very much longer for you guys & gals.
Then I'll start again and have a deadline a month after bloom season
ends (other than RE) in our northernmost Kentucky participants gardens
to capture (1) results for cultivars new this year and (2) changes in
opinions after another year of observation.
I will post results - averages rather than results for each garden,
unless it looks like there are big differences for some cultivars within
the region (doesn't look that way so far). & will send an excel file to
folks who request it until it gets to be a nuisance.
How's that sound?
