Bloom out is a frustration especially with new and expensive rhizomes. It should not be confused with "bloom without increase." Just because a rhizomes blooms before producing increase doesn't mean it can't produce increase later in the season. Frequently first year rhizomes of Fatal Attraction in my garden bloom without increase only to produce four or more increases after bloom. Second year clumps seem to increase in a more standard fashion.
